Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a naturally occurring chemical found in hemp plants. It’s currently being thoroughly studied by researchers all over the world to determine its potential health benefits.

CBD is defined as a Phyto-cannabinoid, which means that it’s produced by plants. This chemical has a similar structure as anandamide, which is a cannabinoid produced by processes within the human body.

All cannabis is hemp. Not all hemp is cannabis. Hemp only becomes cannabis when it has more than 0.2% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in its chemical makeup. While they are from the same species, their appearance and compound make-up are different.

Cannabis contains a natural high amount of THC and CBD, whereas industrial hemp contains almost no THC but plenty of CBD.

CBD is extracted from the hemp plant and is legal in the UK, so long as it contains no more than than 1mg THC in the final packaged product.

We cannot make specific recommendations other than not to exceed 70mg of CBD per day!
